All I know is that my memory or system hardware is most likely not the culprit here in terms of not running the game (2700x, GTX 1080, 32GB memory - aside from the fact that I've been playing it just fine for 2 months now). To sum up my issues, it is 100% a fault in modded Minecraft, and it isn't as consistent as it should be for a proper diagnosis. Again, it makes no sense, because sometimes, I can browse the web with the modded instance open, but sometimes it just decides to continually crash and ruin my day. For the record, I have 8GB allocated to Minecraft (I've found this to be perfectly enough for both my system to give to MC and for the mods to use). So really, does anyone have any experience with why Minecraft doesn't play well with Chrome, and any solutions? Could it be Java's garbage garbage collection (funny pun?).Įdit: after trying to play again, it now both crashes my Chrome tabs and my Minecraft instance, both with memory errors. This notification is frequently displayed following a major update or. And it's bad since I want to look up stuff for the mods, but I can't make it more than 3 seconds before memory crashes destroy me. One such error is the Outdated Client issue, which affects a large number of players. Like last week I was able to use Chrome just fine with the game open (I usually leave it open because it's modded MC and I don't want to wait 5-10 minutes for the pack each time I do burst content consumption in between MC sessions). The weird part is that sometimes this issue comes and goes. I close the game and I never see a crash. It doesn't spike right before a crash either, so it's not as if I'm just not seeing the memory run out in some really quick spout. not playing, just open (the game, not the launcher), causes my instances of Google Chrome to have memory crashes as if my system is out of memory (I have 32GB and only 14GB is used at most when these crashes happen). It would seem that just simply having Minecraft open. I've seen some posts about this in the past that weren't very conclusive, so since it's still a problem I'm facing, I might as well bring it up for myself. (#spoiler) = neat!
